Phil Crawford Singer song writer Born in Orlando, Florida in1964, the son of a US father and a British mother grew up in both the USA and the UK and learned to play guitar at the age of 14. He was soon out earning as a street entertainer singing the songs of Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, and any other he could remember the lyrics to. Phil lives a life in the country, has been married twice with a beautiful son from each marrige. He has lived an isolated life for the past eight years in the reclaimed swamp lands of England known as The Fens. His home/studio is a converted river barge that is moored alongside his smallholding, miles from anywhere. Living this solitary life has enabled Phil to be at peace with the fact that he is 'nuts' and no amount of alcohol and drugs is going to change that. Making music and living in the heart of nature is heaven to Phil. Over the years Phil has been in a number of different bands but more recently has been gigging with gusto on the UK circuit as a solo artist accompanied by a 4 piece backing band. Phil has just finished a 10 track album called Just How It Is due to be released on an independent label recorded at Pfaff’s Studio. While recording tracks for the album Phil teamed up with musician/producer Rich Young, who has an impressive background working with the likes of The Buster James Band, The Eurythmics, Stan Ridgway and Iron Maiden to name but a few. The single, Another Day, from the album Just How It Is, can be heard along with other tracks to the album on Phil’s Myspace site: www.myspace.com/philcrawfordmusic Phil Crawford’s Anglo-Americana style has a personality and professionalism that presents a very entertaining live show and his music and voice has an energy which has proved to be a real winner.
